Introducing the 2026 Pacifica Use Permit
Support Pacifica: A Garden in the Siskiyous
For more than 26 years, Pacifica has welcomed the community to explore 420 acres of trails, meadows, forests, and ponds—completely free of charge. We’ve never asked the community to contribute for day use before.
In 2026, we’re introducing something new to help sustain the land we all love: the Pacifica Use Permit.
As costs rise and as more people discover Pacifica, we need a reliable way to care for our trails, maintain roads, support our youth programs, and preserve the land for future generations. The Use Permit is our way of inviting the community to participate in the stewardship of this extraordinary place.
If Pacifica has ever brought joy into your life—a sunrise hike, a child’s laughter at Outdoor School, a fish on the line, a quiet walk with your dog—your support helps keep it all going.

New for 2026: Pacifica Use Permits
- General Annual Use Permit* – $40/year
- Your 2026 hang tag helps fund trail upkeep, habitat preservation, and operation costs. Pay It Forward with a donation of $80, covering your permit and helping someone else who may not be able to afford it.
- Equestrian Annual Use Permit* — $100/year
- This specialized equestrian rate helps offset the higher maintenance needs associated with horse and trailer access. Horses only allowed on designated trails.
- General Day Use Pass* – $5 per Vehicle
- Equestrian Day Use Pass* — $10 per Trailer
- Purchase a 1-day Pacifica Use Pass to enjoy what Pacifica has to offer.
Your annual permit is valid from January 1–December 31, 2026, from dawn to dusk (except during posted closures). If you selected “Pay Annually,” your permit will automatically renew each year)
Your permit is a tax-deductible donation. Your support keeps Pacifica wild, accessible, and thriving.
Please note: The Pacifica Use Permit is new for 2026. We’re grateful for your help as we work together to make this new system smooth, respectful, and beneficial for everyone who enjoys the land.
*Closures & Respecting Private Events:
Pacifica hosts Outdoor School programs, weddings, and other private events. On these days, some or all of the property may be closed.
- Use Permits do not apply on closed days
- Closure dates are posted on our website and social channels
- Please respect signage and avoid restricted areas during events
- During weddings and other private events, disc golf and perimeter trails remain open—you may only park at the entrance parking lot
Your cooperation helps protect the privacy of wedding parties and the safety of children during Outdoor School.
Parking & Use Guidelines
- Annual use permit should be displayed on the rearview mirror when you receive your physical hang tag
- The day use pass receipt stub should be placed on the driver's side dashboard within view
- If you purchased your permits online, mark it on the payment envelope and place the receipt stub on the driver's side dashboard
- Annual use permits may be transferred between vehicles within the same household
- Use permits are for day use only, not for ticketed events (hiking trails, disc golf, horseback riding, fishing, birdwatching, and dog walking are all included)
- Please park in designated gravel areas—no parking on grass
How to Pick Up Your Annual Use Permit
- Visit the office at Pacifica's Cedar Center to retrieve your physical permit during office hours
- If no one is available, please email info@pacificagarden.org or call (541) 846-1100 to coordinate a pick up
We are deeply grateful that you are part of this new effort to support Pacifica. This land has served the community for decades—and with your help, it will continue to do so for generations.
With appreciation,
The Pacifica Team
